i blame my mom

I went over to my mom's last week to use her printer. While I was waiting for stuff to print we got talking about random things as we do, and the the conversation turned to this painting she saw once of a jar of pickles. She said she was quite taken with how the light played on the jar and the colours. I didn't ask if there was one jar or several, where the light was coming from or if there were any colours in the background, but it got me thinking about pickles and how I don't paint a lot of subjects with green in them, and how getting painting the reflections on glass or water is a good challenge and then, well....the idea took root and...

...I figured I should give it a try, since I seem to be on a food illustration kick. 

So here is a jar of pickles. This is my mom's fault.
