My trip to England was wonderful. I didn't end up going to Edinburgh; instead I divided my time between exploring London then exploring Somerset using the city of Frome as my home base. There was so much to explore in Somerset...I'm so glad I stayed. Scotland will have to be it's own trip, so I can really absorb it. So far I've managed to unpack, transfer all 500 photos from my camera to my mac, and photograph the sketchbook. I saw so many great things and walked through so many beautiful gardens. So far there hasn't been any real jet lag, which I'm grateful for. It might be a different story tomorrow morning as I open the cafe, but who knows?
For now, here are the sketches from my trip in order of how they appear in the sketchbook. I filled it front to back. I even included the stories for you to read.
I hope you enjoy looking at them. I had a fantastic time exploring and drawing in such amazing places!
(these two postcards are nestled in this cute little bag (below) i got at Millie Moon, the cute little haberdashery store in Frome)
