....and lately there has been a great deal of thought, work and everything in between. Just not a lot of painting. There will be a LOT of painting over the next 3 days however....because I have them off. Painting in the morning, packing in the afternoon. If my timing estimations of packing, cleaning and moving are correct, then I think my current studio has about 2 paintings left to it's very prolific credit....and then I bid the cozy wee space adieu. It's sad and exciting leaving a studio and getting a new one. In my case it has always involved moving my full residence as I like having my studio space in my house. There are pros and cons. I'll miss my view of the quirky apple tree and the little angry chickadees that peck at the studio windowsill when I've neglected to fill the bird feeder, the strangely long and narrow front yard and our fabulous neighbors on both sides. The new studio however has an even BIGGER window, and hard wood floors and two plug ins in the room that I can use....rather than siphoning the bulk of my power via extension cord that leads from my studio to the nearest 3-prong plug in it can reach in the living room. It also means the return of Karma-the-amazing-purple-with-gold-paisley cruiser bike. She'll have a garage now to rest in, so I don't have to haul her heavy, curvy ass up and down stairs! Hurray! Let the stylish bike commuting recommence!
So this means....I have a lot of work I want to get done the next few mornings. This COULD also mean you will be bombarded by updates in the next few days. Really, it's a win/win. (right?)
