Morning showers with a definite chance of creative epiphanies...

self titled pen & watercolor (with sparkles) on paper

Another fitful nights rest...and the get-up-and-go is waiting not so patiently by the back door...in the form of Gershwin reminding me that we need to go for a run. Sometimes dogs are too smart, and I shouldn't have told him we were going running BEFORE I finished my postcard and got my gear on. He's pretty cute when he pouts though.

I really want to put a publication together of poems, funny little drawings and paintings. Every time I post on here I want to do this more and more. I would also like to put out another calendar. I had one for 2007 and it sold pretty well. These are some of the other things I mull about while painting and waiting for things to dry. I'm always thinking of ways to get artwork out there...

Right. Postcards and today's work. Here is yesterday's finished postcard. It already has a destination though...and is getting mailed off today to a friend so he has something to put on his fridge. The picture kind of reminds me of him because he's like a big teddy bear. So many of my friends are spread out all over the province and Canada and various parts of the world. Thank goodness for electronic means of communicating...and for old fashion means, like the postal system.

I'm also still working away on the first two little pieces for the "Re: cycled threads" show. They are coming along way better than my first attempts, and I do hope to post them tomorrow sometime. It could be a late night painting...but what a great way to spend an evening. Oh, and then there is the Earth Day fundraiser in Red Deer that I've been asked to contribute a painting to again! Hooray. Once I have the info on that, I will pass it along to you on here, and in the exhibits section of this site. The painting will be up for auction...so if you are interested, you will have to get tickets to the event in order to bid on it. I think this year the painting will have something to do with fish...or rain...

And I'm purchasing a bird feeder next week, in case you were wondering.
