sunrise

Good morning.

You will read a lot of things today, I'm certain. Things that will make you angry,  things that will make you cry, things that will make your stomach knot and wonder if you should leave the house, change jobs, break up with a partner, finally ask that person on a date, make you want to reconcile with someone or cry with someone. Things that will let you justify polishing off the ice cream in the freezer, or have that extra cocktail at lunch, or at dinner this evening when you are having that meeting. Or maybe you will glance over these things, put your phone away and sensibly shut everything out so you can go for a quiet walk, or have a cup of tea and just think about these things you have read or seen or heard without any sort of reaction just yet.

I hope you decide to not despair and instead dwell on good things and look at beautiful things, because there are still so many good things happening and so many beautiful things to see and to think about.

Like this lovely winter sunrise I got to witness back in 2009 around Christmastime.
