the great 'drink & draw': part one

Day two in Glasgow is winding down now. My phone was dead for a good part of it. I've been walking since 10 this morning and I just got back to my room at 11 in the evening. There were many breaks, wanders, drawing interludes, visits with strangers and plenty of drinking of a variety of beverages (coffee, water, tea, water, cider, 2/3 a pint of beer, water, a wee dram of whiskey, and more water).

Somewhere amidst all the ground I covered today, and yesterday, and having to leave the airport without my checked bag because it didn't leave Toronto when I did, and learning how to find my way around Glasgow so I can caffeinate myself properly to do all these things, I have been drawing. I had intended to begin adding colour to the drawings I have completed so far, but in the back of my head I can hear the BD saying, 'Just leave it. I like it when it's just the drawing, before you add any colour.'

Fine. I'll leave these ones Jay. Just for you. Besides, it's been nice working with just a pen and paper again.
