The tail end of Sunday

layers 2 & 3 of "him & his suitcase" mixed media on canvas

Wow...it's Sunday...or it was Sunday, and it came and went like a streaker in runners at night. What was that? Sunday started off with toast, tea and oreo cookies, followed by the finishing of "all in a row", (which is now up in the gallery section...and has just sold!) and the beginnings of "him & his suitcase" which I am very very thrilled about...but too tired to do any work on now. You see, I've just ingested a fabulous pasta dinner...and am experiencing the beginnings of "pasta nap". So I thought I would post a pic of how far I got with "him & his suitcase".  Paper bits, ink....and that's it. They sure don't start out too interesting looking...

...but wait until he's finished. Eeep! He's going to be so cute! I like giving long titles to smaller paintings....it's like naming your chihuahua "Thor". Funny, yet memorable.

Tuesday I pack up little car and head to Lethbridge with Gershwin (my golden retriever). The show gets dropped off at "Edit", but the shindig for-it and the two photographers also showing-is not until April 10. Hooray for shindigs!

I miss painting postcards....but at the prompting of my fiancee, I think it might be time for some BIGGER canvases too! Hmm...local neighborhood landscapes? Paintings from Whyte Ave? I'm getting ahead of myself. Oh, and then there a NEW illustration project....a spring/ summer project involving dark humor, librarians and miscellaneous daily adventures. Not that you would be interested to know what THAT is all about....

...or would you be?
