It's a good day to pack up the dogs and a snack and head to the mountains, although this didn't happen. The trouble is, the mountains are a good 3 1/2 hours away from my house. It's not a good excuse, but it's the one I'm clinging to at the moment. It's the one stopping me from washing my brushes, throwing the paints back in their box and booking it out of the city. It's time. It's time to shake the dust off, leave the traffic and get out into quieter spaces. 'Soon,' I keep saying to myself, 'very soon.' I'm working hard now so I can adventure later. Later being Thursday when the BD and I head to Victoria for a blissful few days of ocean air and intentional meandering. I can hold out until then. I'll turn up the music and load the palette with fresh paint and Thursday will be here before I know it.
So today I am working away diligently on this graffiti alleyway from my trip to Toronto last month. Snow AND graffiti. What luck that we stumbled upon this scene in our wanderings.
Now to go stumble upon a Sunday afternoon beer.
