yea? well....you smell like......thatch roofing!

I was trying to be clever and fired this off to a co-worker yesterday. He's an actor. He's in the Shakespeare festival this summer. It was funnier it my head, but he snickered a little. It may have been a pity snicker, but I got one none the less. Things will be quiet again on my end for the next little while. I have a show coming up and want to get some new pieces finished for it. My goal is to have all new works for the show, and local images to boot. The show is going to be at the Next Act Pub here in Edmonton and will be showing for April AND May. So today I finished up with the last of my birch panels and added a few more layers to the two commissions that are due this month.

Here are the birds!

"is that SO?"

mixed media on birch panel, 12" x 16"

$210

"peacock with red frame"

mixed media on birch panel, 12" x 16"

$210

And speaking of commissions, last week I finished off these two; one (left) a business card design and the other I guess is going to end up as the main signage for a spa in Onoway, AB. That's kind of cool!

So if you are ever in Onoway.....I know a spa...

...and right now, I know a dog that needs walking and an artist that needs herself a dose of hot yoga. Happy snowy Monday!
